Dave grew up on a cattle ranch in southwestern Wyoming where he learned the value of hard work and a lasting appreciation for the people of Wyoming. Dave worked his way through college with various jobs from welding to construction, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in finance. He then went back to work as a cowboy before deciding to go to law school.
Since then, in providing attentive service to his clients’ needs, Dave has obtained broad experience in the practice of law. He began his practice with a small firm in Worland, Wyoming where he soon became a partner and where he practiced for over twelve years before joining Jim Ragain at Ragain & Clark.
Dave has participated in a wide variety of litigation from complex commercial litigation to personal injury, where his clients have recovered millions of dollars in damages. Dave has trial experience in state and federal courts as well as arbitration. He also has substantial appellate experience before the Wyoming Supreme Court.
In addition to Dave’s trial work, he is also well versed in transactional matters. Dave has represented his clients through the negotiation, drafting, and closing of many large commercial and agricultural real estate purchase and sales, business mergers and acquisitions, complex business entity formations, and high net worth estate plans.
In his free time, Dave enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Kelley, exploring the Wyoming outdoors, hunting, fishing, and flying his Cessna 182.
